RCWeb Slither
Slither is a bright multiplayer snake arena inspired by slither.io. Steer a glowing snake, collect pellets, grow longer, and avoid crashing head-first into another snake or the arena wall.
How to play
Open /slither/ in a room. The main app is the game and the controller, so there is no separate control app.
Use the arrow keys on desktop. On a phone or tablet, touch and drag on the arena to steer. The camera follows your snake as you move around the arena.
Eat glowing pellets to increase your current score and slowly grow your tail. Bigger snakes are harder to steer through tight spaces, but they also leave more danger behind for everyone else.
If your snake crashes, its body becomes food and you respawn after a short delay.
Scoreboard
The leaderboard shows two score columns for each player:
- Current is the score for the snake's active life.
- Max is that player's best score in the current room.
The board is sorted by Max score. The Current score is highlighted so you can quickly see who is on a strong run right now.
Use Change name at the top of the scoreboard to choose your player name.
Multiplayer and AI
Every browser running /slither/ in the same RCWeb room joins the same arena. Use Show QR code to let another phone, tablet, or computer join the room quickly.
The arena keeps up to 5 snakes active. When there are not enough real players, AI snakes fill the empty slots. AI snakes roam the arena, collect food, avoid danger, and chase opportunities like regular players.
Arena
The arena is circular with a simple checkerboard floor, colorful snakes, glowing pellets, and a compact heads-up display. The bottom stat panel shows your length and rank while you play.
The goal is simple: eat, grow, survive, and climb the scoreboard.
