RCWeb JScreenFix

JScreenFix is a specialized tool for repairing stuck pixels on LCD, OLED, and AMOLED displays using a high-frequency random noise algorithm. It displays a constantly shifting pattern of pure colors designed to un-stick stubborn pixels by rapidly cycling the sub-pixels.

The Tool

The JScreenFix display application acts as the target monitor that needs repair. It presents a pixel fixer window that can be dragged directly over the stuck pixel. To make positioning easier, especially on large displays or TVs, it integrates with a mobile remote control.

It automatically generates a QR code providing a direct link to the control interface. To ensure the QR code is always accessible, it dynamically repositions itself to the opposite corner if the pixel fixer window overlaps it.

How To Use

  1. Open /jscreenfix/ on the screen with the stuck pixel.
  2. If you are sitting directly at the screen, you can simply click and drag the JScreenFix window over the stuck pixel.
  3. For larger screens, scan the QR code on the display using your smartphone to open the remote control app (/jscreenfix-control/).
  4. Leave the pixel fixer running over the stuck pixel for at least 10 minutes (it can take up to an hour depending on the severity).

Powered By RCWeb

JScreenFix uses RCWeb's networking layer to establish a direct, low-latency connection between the display and your smartphone. When another device joins the room (e.g., by scanning the QR code), the application automatically connects them. The controller receives the correct aspect ratio of the target screen and synchronized position updates, ensuring smooth remote window positioning using WebSocket communication.
