RCWeb JScreenFix Control

JScreenFix Control is the remote dashboard for the JScreenFix display application. It turns your smartphone into a virtual trackpad specifically designed for positioning the pixel fixer window on a large screen or TV without needing a mouse or keyboard directly attached to it.

The Interface

The control interface is built to mirror the aspect ratio of the target display for intuitive 1:1 positioning. It features:

  • A responsive touch surface to drag and move the pixel fixer window remotely.
  • Real-time window size and position synchronization, showing exactly where the pixel fixer is on the main screen.
  • Controls to change the background color of the main display.
  • Live connection status monitoring.

How To Use

  1. This app is designed to be opened via the QR code shown on the main /jscreenfix/ display.
  2. Once connected, your phone's screen represents the target display.
  3. Touch and drag anywhere on the central tracking area to move the pixel fixer window on the television or monitor.
  4. Use the color buttons at the bottom of the screen to change the background color of the target display. Cycling between solid colors (like red, green, blue, white, or black) helps you easily spot dark or bright stuck pixels before moving the fixer over them.

Powered By RCWeb

The control application uses RCWeb's comms.js to communicate via WebSockets. The main display broadcasts its aspect ratio, ensuring the control interface matches the physical screen dimensions optimally. Positional tracking uses normalized coordinates (0.0 to 1.0), meaning it works flawlessly regardless of the difference in resolution between your phone and the 4K TV or monitor you are repairing.
