# Reactor Rush

Reactor Rush is a cooperative, real-time repair game for a shared screen and one or more phone controllers. Technicians sprint around an animated isometric reactor floor, find failing equipment, and hold their single context-sensitive action to complete the required repair.

Faults appear faster as a shift continues. Pumps cavitate, control rods drift, turbines overspeed, and breaker cabinets arc. Unresolved faults drain core stability, so crews must split up and prioritise critical equipment before an emergency shutdown.

## How to play

1. Open `/reactor/?r=<room>` on the shared display.
2. Scan the QR panel with each phone.
3. Use the directional pad to move around the reactor.
4. Approach flashing equipment and hold the action button shown on the phone.
5. Keep core stability above zero for as long as possible.

The viewer is authoritative and sends private proximity, repair, score, and stability updates to each controller. Player presence is refreshed automatically after reconnects.

## Visuals and sound

The game uses original transparent 4×4 pixel-art sprite atlases for four-direction technician movement and four families of animated reactor machinery. The viewer includes a weak-device flat-paint mode, while optional Web Audio effects provide alarms, repair tones, and a low reactor hum after sound is enabled.
