# Coral Reef artwork

Created with built-in imagegen in September 2026.

## Active assets

- `src/main/immutable/app/fishtank/reef-lagoon.jpg` and `reef-arch.jpg`: 3840 × 2160 JPEG backgrounds. Each combines four overlapping generated detail sections, aligned to the original aquarium composition and blended with low-frequency colour matching. The source scene has no visible waterline or outer tank frame.
- `src/main/immutable/app/fishtank/reef-fish-atlas.png`: 3840 × 2048 RGBA, six separately generated fish, preserving detail and natural aspect ratios with 64px transparent gutters. Nearly opaque generated body alpha is normalized to 255 so fish overlap solidly. Delicate fin alpha remains.
- `src/main/immutable/app/fishtank/reef-coral-atlas.png`: 1920 × 1024 RGBA, anemone, sea fan and soft coral, each separately padded by 64px. Seven foreground clumps use the existing swaying mesh and scenery-driven root offsets. No runtime glow or extra rendering passes.

Preparation and source copies: `tmp/fishtank-reef/prepare.cjs`, `tmp/fishtank-reef-stitch.cjs`, `tmp/reef-sources.json` and `tmp/fishtank-reef/final-tiles.json`. The initial generated coral atlas was selected after checking its alpha on a coloured background; the opaque checkerboard edit was rejected.

## Background prompts

Photorealistic production background for an animated HOME SALTWATER REEF AQUARIUM, front-glass eye-level camera, 16:9 landscape, highest native resolution preferably 3840x2160. This must look like a carefully arranged finite glass fish tank, NOT an ocean underwater landscape. No fish or other swimming animals: they will be animated separately. No text, no frame, no room, no visible water surface, no waterline anywhere, no side glass borders. Seamless aquarium interior filling screen. Smooth dark navy blue aquarium backing in upper 65 percent, clean open swimming space in center. Fine WHITE aragonite aquarium sand across bottom 18 percent, sand surface at y82percent. Low arranged porous reef rocks at left and right with highly detailed living coral colonies. Aquarium LED lighting overhead outside image, crisp natural photographic microtexture and fine polyps, beautiful but believable saturated coral colors, clean crystal water. Composition reserves central swimming space; coral side towers reach at most halfway up image.

**reef-lagoon**: A bright lagoon-style reef aquascape, ivory branching live-rock island at lower left with pastel peach plate corals, violet staghorn and lime-green small coral colonies. Lower right island with turquoise lobed coral and soft rose coral. Broad pale sand channel in middle, luminous aquamarine water tint near bottom fading to dark navy aquarium backing above. Premium reef-keeping competition tank, not an ocean.

**reef-arch**: An elegant blue-hour reef aquarium with an arranged low arch of porous cream live-rock from lower left to lower center, opening visible against the dark blue backing; coral island at right, scarlet-orange sea fans, lavender branching coral, emerald button polyps, peach and blue folded coral. White sand along the entire bottom, large clear navy central and upper swimming area. Soft blue aquarium LEDs make natural coral pigmentation vivid, not neon outline artwork.

## Detail section prompt

Enhance this EXACT aquarium image section for a high-resolution stitched 4K background. Keep precisely the same crop, camera, geometry, positions and relative scale of every coral, rock and sand contour. Do NOT reframe, zoom, add new objects, animals, borders or text. Reconstruct photographic microdetails: individual sand grains, porous reef rock, tiny coral polyps and coral surface texture. Clean smooth navy-blue water/backing remains smooth without noise, no fake detail in empty water. Natural aquarium photography, crisp restrained detail, NO oversharpening halos. Output 16:9 at maximum native resolution, ideally 2150x1210 or larger. This is ONE TILE of an existing panorama, maintain exact composition edge to edge so adjacent tiles match.

## Fish prompts

A single living saltwater reef fish, photorealistic macro studio cutout sprite for a 4K aquarium. Exactly lateral SIDE PROFILE, nose points RIGHT, tail at LEFT, body horizontal, no perspective foreshortening. Entire fish including every fin and tail fully inside frame, centered with at least 12% empty margin on all sides. True TRANSPARENT background alpha, not checkerboard, no water, no shadows, no decorations, no text. Fish BODY fully opaque including black markings; delicate fins may be semi-transparent. Sharp individual scales, natural wet sheen, lifelike eye, anatomical photographic realism, beautiful saturated natural color. Landscape 1536x1024 or maximum resolution.

**clownfish**: Ocellaris clownfish, bright rich orange body, three broad white bands edged narrowly in black, rounded orange fins with black margins, lively real fish. Full side profile.

**blue-tang**: Regal blue tang, vivid cobalt-blue oval body with characteristic black palette-shaped pattern, brilliant yellow triangular tail, black-edged blue dorsal fin. A real living Paracanthurus hepatus.

**yellow-tang**: Yellow tang, brilliant lemon-yellow disk-shaped body and matching extended dorsal/anal fins, slightly pointed snout, fine individual fin rays, subtle scales. Natural yellow no orange coloration.

**chromis**: Blue-green chromis, sleek small damselfish with luminous natural turquoise emerald scales, subtle silver belly, forked translucent blue tail, small sharp eye. Not bioluminescent.

**royal-gramma**: Royal gramma, slim basslet, front half rich royal violet and purple, rear half brilliant yellow, clear abrupt color transition halfway along body, small black spot near front of dorsal fin, yellow tail.

**fire-goby**: Fire goby (Nemateleotris magnifica), slender pearl-white body transitioning to bright coral orange and deep red tail, orange face, long thin erect pale dorsal pennant, red-edged translucent fins. Complete dorsal pennant within margin.

## Coral prompt

Photorealistic marine aquarium sprite atlas, true transparent RGBA background. THREE separate coral clumps arranged in one horizontal row, three equal columns, generous empty transparent padding at least 10% of each cell, no overlaps. Portrait-oriented clumps within each cell, entire organism and small base inside frame. Left: rose-peach bubble-tip sea anemone with dozens of supple tapering tentacles with gently bulbous pink tips, translucent subtle organic tissue, attached to one small dark reef-rock foot. Middle: elegant scarlet-orange gorgonian sea fan with intricate lace-like fine branches and tiny cream polyps, upright broad fan on a small compact rock foot. Right: pale lavender-pink soft branching Kenya-tree coral, finger-like branches with fine polyps and delicate flexible tissue, small attached reef-rock base. Camera front-facing through aquarium glass, eye level. Vivid natural reef aquarium colors under white marine LED lighting, natural fine texture, opaque coral tissue with only delicate translucent tentacle tips. No fish, no background scenery, no shadows outside silhouette, no text, no checkerboard. Highest resolution wide landscape atlas, approximately 3:2. Distinct separate silhouettes, at least 90 pixels air between coral clumps. NOT a glowing neon fantasy, not illustration.
