# Neon fish artwork

Built-in imagegen edits, September 2026. The user requested more varied neon colors and explicitly authorized fictional lighting for visual appeal. The six existing marine fish shapes are retained; colors, fin highlights and additional luminous markings are artistic enhancements, not biological claims.

## Active asset

`src/main/immutable/app/fishtank/bio-neon-fish-atlas.png` — 3840 × 2048 lossless RGBA, six independent source images with 1152 content pixels across per fish and 64px transparent padding on every side. Near-black bodies remain opaque. Colored bloom is baked into the pixels; no runtime glow pass, blur or additive body blending. Runtime GPU resource counts remain unchanged.

Palettes: turquoise/mint lampfish, ultraviolet/lavender hatchetfish, hot-pink/fuchsia seadevil, lime/emerald flashlightfish, cobalt/indigo viperfish, amber/orange pineapplefish. Both viewer and controller load this atlas. The controller identifies the colors as enhanced.

Preparation uses `tmp/fishtank-bio/prepare-neon.cjs`. The brighter original source supplies the body mask independently of the new lighting. Source-edge tint is measured and subtracted only from the exterior matte, then transparent gutters are added. Source images with bright clipped edge halos are rejected. The anglerfish received a tighter lure-halo edit before packing. No processing is performed per frame. Source copies: `tmp/fishtank-bio/neon-*-source.png`. ## Checks

Asset tests verify each palette has substantial bright colored detail, all six interior samples remain dark and fully opaque, and every gutter pixel is transparent. Browser tests verify overlapping-body occlusion in WebGL and Canvas, category/control synchronization, scene changes, reload and context recovery. Visual review at 3840 × 2160 and phone controls.

Creative lighting/color edit for a high-quality OLED aquarium sprite. The user explicitly wants ARTISTIC NEON COLORS and authorizes fantasy bioluminescence to improve visual appeal. Preserve this exact real fish's anatomy, silhouette, pose, SCALE, pixel POSITION and source dimensions. Do not move, enlarge or reframe fish or fins. Keep 80% of its body extremely dark opaque near-black, with fine photographic skin texture barely visible. Give it this distinct palette:

- **viperfish:** ELECTRIC ROYAL BLUE with indigo-violet accents. Belly photophores are intense icy-white/blue cores surrounded by vivid cobalt blue bloom; dorsal lure bright blue-white; thin luminous blue-violet fin rays and tail edge.
- **pineapplefish:** GOLDEN AMBER and fiery ORANGE, tiny coral-red accents. Jaw light is brilliant warm white with powerful amber/orange bloom. The armored scale pattern has a few delicate gold luminous tracing lines and tiny ember pinpoints, thin orange-red fin edges. Most scales and body interior stay NEAR BLACK, not painted yellow.

 Make the fish visually stunning at a small 150-250px display size: intensely saturated luminous fine detail with near-white emitting cores, strong silky smooth COLORED BLOOM baked into image around luminous organs and delicate neon fin accents. Multiple tones within the stated palette, not generic cyan on every fish. ### Anglerfish outer-halo correction

Edit only the broad pink haze around the head lure at upper right. Replace that large diffuse haze with a tighter beautiful smooth pink bloom, about 45 pixels wide around the bright bulb, retaining the brilliant white-pink bulb. The surrounding sky must be pure black with NO far-reaching pink fog. Especially the top and right edges must be completely pure black. Keep the whole fish, body, fins, neon pink accents, size, position and anatomy EXACTLY unchanged. Same 1536x1024 image. Do not crop or shift or add anything. Keep every other glow and body marking intact.
